Designs of Distinction® Adds Heritage Corner Post to Stock Hardwood Component Collection
New 34-1/2-inch American-made post supports kitchen island, cabinetry, furniture, and millwork applications.

CHICAGO, IL — Designs of Distinction® announces the addition of the Heritage Corner Post, a new solid hardwood component developed for kitchen islands, preparation tables, vanities, cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork.
The profile was one of the company’s most frequently requested custom leg designs during 2025 and 2026. By transitioning the design into its stock collection, Designs of Distinction provides manufacturers, cabinetmakers, designers, and fabricators with access to a standardized profile without requiring a fully custom production run.
The Heritage Corner Post measures 3″ x 3″ x 34-1/2″. Its extended upper section is designed for integration with cabinetry, aprons, rails, panels, and furniture framing. The profile transitions into a shaped and tapered lower leg with turned detailing and a narrow foot.
The post’s 34-1/2-inch height makes it suitable for common kitchen island, cabinet, worktable, and vanity applications. Its 3-inch-square upper body provides material for attachment and field integration based on the fabricator’s construction method.
Potential applications include kitchen islands, freestanding preparation tables, cabinet end supports, furniture-style vanities, retail fixtures, hospitality millwork, and custom furniture.
Manufactured in the USA from North American hardwoods, the Heritage Corner Post will be offered in multiple species. Final species, SKU, pricing, and inventory information will be announced before launch.
